Power Auras, baby!

I am an unabashed UI mod fanatic. My fiancée will tell you that on average every 3 months I pull out my trusty add-on guide, Vranx, to see what is new out there and then promptly spend about 12 hours making everything perfect. My goal? First and foremost – information. I need to know what’s going on – with the boss, in the raid, with my tanks, and with me. But I also need to consider space and aesthetics. And I hate bad menu & in-game editing.

I really enjoy Power Auras, although I found the menu challenging. Luckily for me, many priests before me had delved the watery depths of the menu, and from fathoms below sent up infobubbles from their snorkel of knowledge to….aw forget it, I’m sure you see where that was going. The problem? It didn’t always fit with #2 & 3 of my UI principles. So here’s my take on some Power Auras exports, with credit to Derevka and other wiki contributors. (If I forgot you and this blog ever becomes visible enough for you to find, please let me know and I will add credit where due)

Atonement & Archangel

Set=Evangelism@
Aura[1]=Version:4.22; icon:ability_priest_archangel; buffname:Archangel; begin:1; x:221; texture:179; alpha:0.78; owntex:true; inVehicle:0; speed:0.16; size:0.2; y:101; texmode:2; ismounted:0; finish:0; timer.a:0.81; timer.b:0.0157; timer.HideLeadingZeros:true; timer.g:0.0157; timer.h:1.07; timer.enabled:true; timer.r:0.0157; timer.cents:false; timer.Relative:CENTER; timer.Transparent:true; timer.UseOwnColor:true@
Aura[2]=Version:4.22; icon:Spell_Holy_DivineIllumination; buffname:Evangelism; begin:3; x:218; texture:89; speed:0.16; stacksOperator:>; size:0.4; y:0; texmode:1; timer.HideLeadingZeros:true; timer.h:1.25; timer.enabled:true; timer.cents:false; timer.Relative:CENTER; timer.Transparent:true@
Aura[3]=Version:4.22; icon:Spell_Holy_DivineIllumination; buffname:Evangelism; begin:3; x:218; stacks:1; texture:90; speed:0.16; stacksOperator:>; size:0.4; y:0; texmode:1@
Aura[4]=Version:4.22; icon:Spell_Holy_DivineIllumination; buffname:Evangelism; begin:3; x:218; stacks:2; texture:91; speed:0.16; stacksOperator:>; size:0.4; y:0; texmode:1@
Aura[5]=Version:4.22; icon:Spell_Holy_DivineIllumination; buffname:Evangelism; begin:3; x:218; stacks:3; texture:92; speed:0.16; stacksOperator:>; size:0.4; y:0; texmode:1@
Aura[6]=Version:4.22; icon:Spell_Holy_DivineIllumination; buffname:Evangelism; begin:3; x:218; stacks:4; texture:93; speed:0.16; sound:46; stacksOperator:>; size:0.4; y:0; texmode:1@
Aura[7]=Version:4.22; anim1:2; icon:ability_priest_archangel; buffname:Archangel; begin:1; x:218; bufftype:7; stacks:4; texture:93; multiids:6; speed:0.16; sound:46; stacksOperator:>; size:0.4; y:0; texmode:1@

This is based on Derevka’s circular stack count, but with an animation & sound effect only when you reach full stacks & Archangel is available. I also moved it from the middle of the screen for better visibility.

Rapture

 Version:4.22; g:0.9686; icon:Spell_Holy_Rapture; buffname:Rapture; r:0.9843; Extra:true; x:89; bufftype:13; stacks:1; texture:16; alpha:0.7; owntex:true; duration:12; soundend:17; size:0.18; y:89; texmode:2; finish:3; timer.b:0; timer.g:0.8824; timer.h:1.22; timer.UpdatePing:true; timer.enabled:true; timer.cents:false; timer.y:81; timer.x:126; timer.Transparent:true; timer.UseOwnColor:true; timer.ShowActivation:true

Again, based on a Derevka export. I moved and rescaled the icon & added a very distinctive sound effect. That’s distinctive, not annoying.

Power Torrent

Version:4.22; anim1:4; g:0.4824; icon:Ability_Paladin_SacredCleansing; buffname:Power Torrent; r:0.3294; begin:1; x:-289; texture:20; alpha:0.55; size:0.45; randomcolor:true; y:30

I tried to create this from scratch but couldn’t get it to work. Google saved me and I came across a post by Docta on mmochampion.com that did the trick and modified it to fit my UI.

Lightweave

Version:4.22; b:0.4667; anim1:4; icon:Spell_Arcane_PrismaticCloak; buffname:Lightweave; r:0.3882; begin:1; x:-289; texture:20; alpha:0.55; size:0.45; randomcolor:true; y:64

I then modified the above export to work with Lightweave.

Trinket Available

Version:4.22; anim1:2; icon:inv_misc_cat_trinket06; buffname:trink; begin:1; bufftype:7; texture:7; sound:22; combat:true; size:0.7; randomcolor:true; y:100; texmode:1; anim2:5

OMG this one isn’t plagiarized! Simply shows when your on-use trinket is available. Will work regardless of which trinket slot you are using. Note – it will show as always available if you are using a non-on-use trinket and is annoying. That’s a lot of dashes.

Missing Flask & Food Buff

Set=Global 1@
Aura[121]=Version:4.22; g:0.4392; icon:inv_potione_5; buffname:Flask of the Draconic Mind; r:0.4863; x:-29; texture:10; alpha:1; size:0.2; inRaid:true; y:-106; texmode:2; inverse:true; finish:0@
Aura[122]=Version:4.22; b:0.2078; g:0.4; icon:Spell_Misc_Food; buffname:Well Fed; r:0.5843; x:33; texture:10; alpha:1; size:0.2; inRaid:true; y:-106; texmode:2; inverse:true; anim2:1; finish:0@

I’m pretty sure this one came from the wiki. I didn’t change much, size & position mostly. This one is very useful IMO so that’s why I’m sharing.

I use many more exports but these are the ones that differ from what’s out there online or were more difficult to come by. After all this time I’ve come to be quite familiar with this fine add-on so feel free to comment if you have questions!
